My English & Spanish Language Backgroumd ...

My Background...

I have served as an interpreter and translator for the English and Spanish languages since at least the year 1982 when I first performed the duties of a bilingual tour guide at a historic site in San Juan, Puerto Rico during U. P. A. D. I.'s convention at that time.
Another of my own projects in translating was carried out in order to supply purchasers of my recorded music and fans of mine corresponding translations from English to Spanish, Spanish to English, and, Italian to English and Spanish of the 7 original and cover songs on my first CD (2001), True Love - The Universal Language. Utilizing bilingual dictionaries for the languages in question, my studies of Opera and the knowledge acquired while singing songs in English, Italian, French, German and Spanish from the years 1995 - 2000, along with my early studies of English and Spanish grammar during high school (Episcopal Cathedral School, 1975-1983), as well as, Spanish Literature at Otterbein University, 1985-1987, and lifetime experience meeting and conversing with people of Hispanic, American, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, etc...origins, this CD song translation project was only pure fun for me.
Occasionally, in past years, I've been honored with interpreting live for ministers during their time of preaching a Bible-based message to those who had gathered to listen. I also was asked to interpret live a few times when an English speaking minister was sought out for counseling help by a Spanish speaker.

During February 2012 I was able to serve as a temporary full-time interpreter under the working title of Promotor de Salud/Health Promoter with the Ohio Hispanic Coalition of Columbus, Ohio.

For many years (1993-2011) I worked for Spanish, English, French and even Latin public school teachers as a Substitute Teacher with the Lexington City, Lucas City, Madison City, Willard City, Shelby City, Mansfield City Schools and through the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center.

From January 6 through April 30, 2014 I served as a full-time, long term Spanish Substitute Teacher and Video Conference Class Monitor for the Ohio State University at Mansfield, Ohio.

Available for all interpreting, translating, tutoring and language education via singing needs. Please, leave me a comment on the blog comment area. Also, feel free to e-mail. I welcome your projects or events and pertinent need for language facilitation services and look forward to serving you!
Sincerely,
Timothy K. Lawson - Interpreter and Translator
